The short version

Pick Service Log stores your vehicle and equipment records on your own device. We do not run any servers that collect your records, we do not use advertising or analytics services, and we do not sell or share your data with anyone.

What the app stores

Everything you enter — unit details, service history, filters, reminders, and any photos or documents you attach — is saved in a SQLite database local to your device (or your browser's local storage when you use the web version). This data never leaves your device unless you export it yourself.

Backups and exports

The Tools page lets you download a JSON backup or a CSV report. Those files are created on your device and saved wherever you choose (your downloads folder, a cloud drive you manage, etc.). We have no access to files you export or import — that transfer is entirely between you and your own device or storage.

Notifications

Service reminders are scheduled and delivered locally by your device's operating system. No reminder content is sent to us or to any third party.

QR labels

Printable QR labels encode a link back to a unit's record. Generating and printing a label happens entirely on your device and does not transmit any data to us.

Accounts and cloud sync

The current version of the app does not require an account and does not send data to a remote server. We are building an optional cloud sync feature for a future release; it will require you to explicitly create an account and opt in before any data leaves your device, and this policy will be updated first to describe exactly what would be collected and how it would be protected.

Permissions

The Android app declares network (internet) access to support the optional sync feature described above; it is not currently used to transmit your records. The app reads and writes files only inside its own private app storage to save attachments and backups you create.

Children's privacy

Pick Service Log is intended for general business and personal use in managing vehicle and equipment service records, and is not directed at children under 13.

Data retention and deletion

Your records remain on your device until you delete them in the app or uninstall the app. Uninstalling the app removes its local database and any attachments stored by the app, in line with normal operating-system behavior.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and make the revised policy available in the app and wherever the app is distributed.
